Golden Circle with my parents
Today was a great and busy day!
We picked up my parents at the airport, went shopping and picked up their campervan.

Sage was very excited to see Grandma and Grandpa. Usually she’s happy to sit in the car with me while Steve shops. This time as soon as Grandma and Grandpa left, she wasn’t having any of it. She HAD to go to the store. They had a little kids cart which she pushed around and would occasionally put something into.

From Reykjavik we did our own version of the Golden Circle Tour.
Our first stop was at Pingvellir National Park, where you can walk along a fault line in the rock. There’s a lake and waterfalls and you can see the crack in the earth.

After our walk,we had lunch at the restaurant we had been to with the Halliburtons, which overlooks a barn full of cows chomping on grass. Sage loved watching the cows.

From their on to Geysir, where we wandered around the bubbling pots and pools and watched Strokkur erupt a few times. Sage loved running and holding Grandma and Grandpa hands.

Then on to Gulfoss where we walked down right to the edge of the waterfall and then back up to the car. The waterfall is so impressive with it’s size and force. Even after seeing it before, it’s still amazing to see. It was a beautiful day too.

From there, we decided to head on to the campground for dinner.
We settled in, chatted about our plans and Sage played on the playground as Steve cooked a delicious dinner of Thai peanut noodles.

What a great day! I’m very excited for my parents to be here, it’s going to be a fun week.
